Insert your Dropbox documents right from the Cloud to Gmail

We all have the ability to now save all our favorite documents on the Cloud.  Which is great for most of us to be able to go from any device and access these documents anytime and anywhere, but if you’re like me, where you spend a considerable amount of time inside of Gmail wouldn’t it be great to attach a document directly from the cloud right into an email?

Gmail now offers attachments right from Google Drive, which is an alternative to Dropbox and Sky Drive which offer similar functionality of storing your documents on the Cloud.  But what if you’re not using Google Drive and instead are using something like Dropbox or Sky Drive?  attachments.me is a cloud service that tightly integrates gmail with these services, thus saving you time and making you more productive throughout your day.

If you’re like most Realtors who use Dropbox to keep their contracts, forms, general brochures inside dropbox, you can now easily and quickly attach these documents to your email using attachments.me.   The service is currently FREE and does not cost you a thing to install.   If you use Google’s Chrome — you can download an extension for Gmail here or for those of you who are iOS lovers here is their iOS Application.

The product also offers other great features, such as easily and quickly get through all emails that contain attachments within your emails.   One feature that we like and we think Realtors can use, is the ability for it to remember to save all future attachments sent by a client to a specific folder with in dropbox.    In this way you will always be organized and know exactly where all documents sent by your client via emails are.

We built a similar feature that integrates your website directly with Dropbox and we think this feature is great if you want to extend your Documents from the cloud directly into Gmail.

Real Estate Ideas you can implement on Google+

Google+ is a Social Media Network that competes with Facebook and in case you have not heard of it’s Hangout Feature — which is a really nice feature of their service, which allows you to setup video conferencing with friends family and colleagues.   If you have not seen this feature in action, check out the commercial below by google.

Suggestion for using Google Hangout for Realtors.

The only requirement you will need in order to use this nice feature of Google+ is a Microphone and a Camera, which most forms of laptops and tables now in days have.

  • Host a roundtable discussion about the state of the market in your neighborhood.
  • Collaborate with virtual assistants to get your work done.
  • Give a guided tour of home/condo.
  • Offer foreign buyers guide and information on what they need to buy real estate.
  • Discuss with other Realtor your transaction details.
  • Coordinate a virtual meeting with your Title office, loan officer, inspectors.
  • Host a guided tour of a new real estate development.

With Google+ and hangout you can achieve more in person discussions with your client, even if he or she is miles from where you are.   If you can think of other great ideas in which you can incorporate google+ hangouts to your real estate career let us know, we love to hear what other suggestions you may have.

Approach to a successful Real Estate website in 2013

There are numerous ways in which you can have success when it comes to online real estate.   The key to having success online is just the same as having success in just about anything you do offline– hard work and perseverance.

Successful real estate websites that generate you leads online have something that no other real estate website has– and that is uniqueness in what they provide to a consumer. These websites typically offer good information that is often searched by home buyers or sellers alike.  This can be as simple as to “What do I need in order to lease a property at one miami?”  The website is also relevant to the time.   For example the website may offer a consumer general law information or tax information for the current year.   The website can also offer the consumer new development project information for someone who seeks to buy or invest in new construction that is taking place  in the market.  Another approach can be to offer sales information about what’s happening in the market today– this may be of interest to a potential seller who is looking to sell their miami home.  For example you can learn more about buying or selling a unit on this website exclusively made for  one miami, which offer consumers good information on this particular condo building.

We often help our customer understand these key principals about what it takes to have a successful real estate website.   We explain the process of what, who, when, where and how their competitors achieve the high rankings they have and what they are doing on a day-in-day-out to remain atop of the search engine, when it comes to real estate.

  • Do you get a website with good tools and invest in just marketing these tools?
  • Do you integrate or use social media to find customers?
  • Pay a Real Estate Search Engine Marketing Firm to market your product or website.
  • Pay Google Adwords and run a Marketing Campaign
  • use Offline media such as Newspaper, Magazine, Postcards?

The answer is not quite so simple because in reality it likely involves all the items mentioned above.  There is no one solution that will give you the success you need online only numerous approaches to your online business that if all used together they will likely generate your the real estate leads you need in 2013.

CitiCentre scheduled to begin construction in Brickell in June

Swire Properies made an announcement today on SFBJ that plans to begin construction of   $1.05 Billion dollar project known as CitiCentre  and is set to begin in June and expected to generate about 1,700 new jobs for Brickell during it’s construction phase and create more than 3,500 permanent jobs in brickell after it’s scheduled completion in

The project is perhaps one of the biggest projects that will be under development in Brickell.  The CitiCentre is going to be approximately 2.4 million square feet and is twice the size of already existing Dolphin Mall.

CitiCentre will consit of five buildings which include, retail shops, 800 condominium units, 243 hotel rooms, office towers, 93 serviced apartments and an underground parking garage which is schedule to take two years to complete.

using SMART to set goals for your online real estate website solution.

One often misconception that individuals have with regards to any online website, is that once it’s live on the internet, that thousand of individuals if not millions of people will flood or view this new website.    While this could potentially be true of any website on the internet, it takes time and goal setting to achieve this kind of success online.  When we talk to our customers and consult with them, we set specific goals with regards to their real estate website and determine what are some realistic goals that can be set to achieve success online.  One technique that we encourage our customers to use is known as SMART.  Smart stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time Bound – Or Time Specific.

When you decided to build a new real estate website for example, you have to determine what will be the primary use of the website.  Is the website going to be used to complement my business or will you be using the website to bring in business for you.  Which ever the case maybe, you should consider SMART to help you attain your goals.

For example, when building a real estate website and you apply SMART you can do the following to achieve a particular goal:

SPECIFIC - Specific Goal

Create a website that will help me connect with customers who are primarily interested in buying south florida real estate in 25 condo buildings.   Here you have determined that you want a specific type of consumer who is primarily focused on a set of specific condo buildings.   These buildings could be luxury condo buildings, or all waterfront buildings.

MEASURABLE

I need to ensure that the website will generate me at least 25 good leads a month from these specific 25 condo buildings, which I will be focusing the most.  Here we are setting a goal to reach with the website that is measurable.

ATTAINABLE

Since there is already some competition in the market for some of these condo buildings, I will build specific content for these primarily 25 condo buildings that will get me the qualified leads that I want or need.  Not worrying about so many buildings at the beginning is a good tip because you are more focused on content for the set that you decided you wanted to work with.

RELEVANT

By focusing on only the 25 condo buildings in a specific market that have the most potential for a sale or rental I hope to stay relevant.  Sometimes this is also known as the Realistic process too, in which you are being realistic that you will achieve the goal of building the content for the 25 buildings you set out to dominate.

TIME

Finally, you need to specify a time period in which you would like to reach the goal you are setting.  Here you can deicide that out of the 25 condo buildings you want to build upon that 15 of them will rank on page one of google within 4 months time.

Duplicate content on your website can be dangerous for search engine ranking

Duplicate content is very serious business in the industry and when it comes to search engine rankings it can mean your site can be left out of the search engine all together.  If you are a new to the world of building a real estate website, be careful you don’t fall in to the trap of copying someone else’s hard work onto your new website.   If you hire a company to do all your content building be careful you are not offered duplicate information from your competitors.

We have many customers and some opt to use our professional services in building them content information for condo buildings while other opt to build the content themselves.  If you take the road of doing the work yourself consider that some of the websites you found with information have been around for many years with such information.  So, if you decide you want to borrow information from their website(s) be careful you don’t duplicate the information onto your website.   By copying someone else’s work onto your website you are essentially giving them more credit to the information they wrote and putting your website in a worst off situation.

Our recommendation is to hire a professional that will guarantee the work to be unique to your website and not duplicated.   If you find that hiring a professional is out of the question, then consider doing the research from various websites and forming your own opinion about the subject matter.   According to Google’s official blog they were able to cut away about 11% of the websites who provide low quality information and duplicate information off the search engine results.  I guess this is good news that there is a low % of users who just out right copy someone else’s work, so don’t fall into the trap of taking the easy way out since you can get potentially penalized by the search engines.
